I was 11 the day I picked up Anne of Green Gables for the first time at the library. It's a moment with my mom that I will remember and treasure forever. I fell in love with the world of Avonlea and all things Anne. I would come to collect my own copies of these books and I've lost count of how many times I've read them.

- “Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we know all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?
- “The world calls them its singers and poets and artists and storytellers; but they are just people who have never forgotten the way to fairyland.”
- “It's delightful when your imaginations come true, isn't it?”
